I read that article yesterday. When the programs were announced many economists predicted this would be the result. So now we have the $8000 giveaway that failed and we also have the many varied mortgage modification programs that are failing. Economic Alchemy at it's worst. So we have managed to delay the inevitable and also prolong the housing mess.....now the market will clean up the foolish remnants.
