As a Life Member of The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and a Life Member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) I have to commend BEHL for putting our veterans first and I personaly feel that this is as it should be. Those of you who live around the Chicago Land Area might remember hearing and reading in the news media a couple of months back about the commander of my post who was brutally murdered and robbed just outside the doors of our bank while on his way to deposit the proceeds of our fund raiser to send WWII vets to Wasington D.C. to see their Memorial. Doing the deposits was my job as the post Quartermaster for the 3 years prior. Helping our veterans and especially the families at home of our service men and women while they're overseas is what my posts focuss is on.
