Just because Obama held a company accountable for their actions it doesn't mean he's "extorting them for money", extelecom.

As for threats, well I'm sure Obama made it very clear to BP that if they did not cooperate, then the Justice Department would likely make a "circus spectacle" out of their irresponsible choices (that led to the unfortunate tragedy on board the Deepwater Horizon rig).

Keep in mind BP didn't mount an enormous argument against Obama's demands, extelecom.
