The Denial is strong in that one....

FPG: Intel strategy is Fail because Windows can't go down into the smartphone space

Intel: We will support Windows, Meego, and Android, and have a strategy to be "port-of-choice" to offer a cross-platform experience to the end-user.

FPG: Just as I predicted! Windows Only! Fail!

BS wbmw. Typical Intel-fan strategy of arguing with a strawman.

I've ONLY said that the usual Wintel codebase advantage won't help it in smartphones. NOTHING about "Intel's strategy will fail."

And after you twisted the usual meaning of the "Wintel codebase advantage" to mean source-code-portability instead of the traditional binary application compatibility, I said that Intel does not have, and is not developing, any special tools to help port Windows apps to Meego/Android. (I do fully acknowledge that Intel is pursuing a multi-OS strategy...)

And of course, in keeping with your "interpret the facts to suit my argument" style, you substituted "cross-platform" for Intel's "cross-device". Explicit misrepresentation.

For a completely fathomable reason, you are trying to smash the x86-codebase-advantage square peg into the level-playing-field-architecture-independent-software-platform round hole, so you can have your cake and eat it too.

If Intel had announced a Windows-to-<linux distro> application porting mechanism, it would be FRONT PAGE NEWS on every software developer's website/blog/news-outlet in existence. Instead, we have "port of choice" that you, I, and seven other people have noticed.
