It's been requested by many but always shot down.

I wonder why. I could see making an exception for people who wanted to change from their real names to an alias because they were being harassed, or feared they would be, but most changes are just from one alias to another. What difference would it make, given that we can go back to their old posts anyway?

We could make another exception for Diabolus, for different reasons, of course.
