This is true.

However, the actual Litigation is now being funded from JPM. The lawyers (I forget the firm's name now) currently lists JPM officially as the ones administering the case.

Thus, as far as Judge Block is concerned, I think his Tax Gross-up is simply added to the total award for JPM.

This total amount is then the $$$ amount that Broadbill will say is an unsecured claim against WMI, since they have "gifted" our cut to JPM (for no apparent reason). I know that the FDIC did it, but WMI has not made any attempt to recover anything.

Thus, and I'm not a lawyer either, I think that it's pretty cut-and-dried for Block. He'll just adjust the Tax Grossup for JPM's tax rate and be done with it. It's then out of his hair (which I'm sure he'll be happy with!).
