You seem to be saying that Intel is going to introduce a to-be de-facto "standard" Meego platform (with special toolchain support) that, while supposedly feature complete (otherwise it would be non-competitive), it will be either difficult or impossible to port applications from it to an ARM-based Meego device.

Wrong again. My argument has always been that Intel will make it easier for developers to target their own architecture. They are creating a toolset for x86 - optimized for these operating systems - that so far does not exist for ARM. So while developers can port Wintel code across architectures to 10s or 100s of ARM SOC's, Intel is arguing that they port Wintel code to Atom under Android and Meego, with a toolset that makes it easy.

The concept itself is simple to understand. You are either making it complex on your own, or intentionally arguing for the sake of arguing.

B) Show me exactly where these "tools" are. Or something that shows that they're coming.

Again, you're putting the onus on me to prove Intel's strategy. You can choose to believe that Intel will fail in their strategy, and have your own reasons for doing so, but they've laid it out for all to see, and it's not hard to see the technical or business rationale behind the argument. At least, not hard for me to see, or anyone from the links I posted earlier....
