I wonder if Halliburton knew about it earlier? Specialists of all types have been sent there... i know a couple folks that are fellow foresters and range conservationists that have gone as guests of the military, and i imagine squads of geologists have been working it also, as formations such as caves were on the agenda.

Strategic minerals at this magnitude kind of change the equation a bit.
