billco, with all due respect, "due diligence, ALWAYS" is non-sense verbiage in the context of this trade. Zeev made a prediction that some Dow stocks were going to go up perhaps 20% over the next few weeks. There is no data, no chart, and no statistics on which to do due diligence which would indicate IBM was going to dip more than $2 today and take out its stops as part of the process.
Due diligence is a concept for reviewing legal documents and financial statements. It may have some application in value investing or long term buy and hold investing, but the term doesn't have much applicability to short term scalping and day trading.
This type of trading is essentially being a sophisticated gambler who knows when to hold em and when to fold em....and due diligence isn't part of gambling.
