Mean and average are synonyms. Perhaps you confused mean with median. GENR reported the sample average (mean) but not the median.

With so few patients in the “207” trial, it would have been helpful to see all of the individual data points in order to make a better assessment of the dispersion. Absent the individual data points, the sample mean is probably the best gauge of efficacy we have.
