I wouldn't go that far, after all they broke the law and under normal circumstances, that violation of the law should be corrected accordingly.

I just try to point out that enforcing the law this late in the game is horrifyingly expensive.

The problem with leving even a HUGE fine is that without proper border security, mexican and central americans will try to sneak in in large numbers.

So step #1 is securing the borders. Step #2 is fine illegals living here $5,000 each to help pay for the taxpayer burden they cause.

By the way -- there's a lot of people who think the Obama administration will grant immunity to everyone at no charge -- including the cost of proccessing them, which will cost billions.
