Especially the defense budget, has anyone looked at this one lately, almost 670 Billion for the current year, dam thats almost 35 % of what the Federal Government takes in, figuring 2.1 Trillion, and even then I am not sure of those numbers anymore.

At least it includes overseas operations, where the past eight years did not do, but thats quite alot of money being spent on operations that supposedly were cut in the previous eight years due to the supposed effect of reducing the cold war.

There is one thing to have a strong defense, but this is suppose to be the modern world with defense systems that are capable of doing some very smart things. This is a bloated part of the overall budget, we need to get the hell out of Iraq, stay in Afghanistan for one more year, and then support a "Drone" base and bring everything home. Just liked we learned in Vietnam in my era, its their country, let them do it their own way. Defend America, but here in our atmosphere, where we belong, I am tired of seeing tax dollars get wasted all around the world.
