BP has huge infrastructure. The end consumers of crude oil will pay the price thorugh increased retail prices. What would gas cost if BP went bankrupt? What does that mean? Does a bankrupt BP mean they stop drilling for oil? How would gasoline prices be impacted if BP simply stopped all production? many people encouraged drilling in the Gulf of Mexico in hopes of cheaper gasoline for their automobiles.
