Company update
Hello everyone, Just a quick update on the company.
My wife has been on a very much needed vacation for the past week (first in 13 years!) so I have been home with four kids all week playing Mr. Mom! All I have to say is thank God she is back and running companies with dozens or even hundreds of employees doesn't even come close to comparing with running a household with kids ranging from 1 to 12 years old! I am exhausted!
Anyway, I have been running MedGen from home with the help of my team, Tim Schmidt, Rob Anderson, Rachel Collins and Lorin Streim. My last post about hiring people smarter than you has never rang more true than in the past week. because I have such a great team, I had little to worry about and we landed some impressive listings and brought on a group of experienced brokers including the top producer of one of our [minor] competitors. We are really cooking now!
So Northstar is doing great, Global Distribution received a shipment of top selling books and sales are beginning to ramp up and things with leapfrog have begun to move forward to be formalized. Everything is moving ahead full speed! Stock could be doing better although the volume has been high and no new stock has hit the float to my knowledge, the price is still struggling and we need exposure to many more investors to begin to pull up. I'm looking into starting a linkedin/facebook advertising campaign to gain investor exposure and just signed a deal to get our message in front of 700,000+ investment subscribers of over 20 major newspaper websites including the Washington Post and LA Times. I'm also talking to a few promotion outlets regarding doing a few audio interviews to boost exposure. More to come.
Plans for the upcoming week include meetings about a few possible new business modules (acquisitions) and formalizing the franchising of Northstar, along with designing a media package to promote it.
It'll be a busy week and i'll be in the office working tomorrow despite the holiday in order to get it all done. Just a small price to pay, I guess.
