If your dad is still alive perhaps he will explain it to you. When you are in the military you don't get to pick your CIC's. You take an oath to defend the Constitituion. And that in turn means you follow orders of the CIC.

Sorry but your lack of respect for the chain of command leads me to believe you never served in the miltary or if you did you did not last long.

The constitution is quite clear on the election of the president and thus the CIC. He or she does not have to earn your respect.

Quite frankly I'm stunned at the lack of respect that supposed veterans have for the president. I'm glad today's soldiers understand their oath.
