Zeev: Given the pattern day trading regs, I am curious as to how you manage your portfolio. Given that the "excess margin requirement" (for most folks that would be your cash) in your account at the close is all that can be used to buy and sell with the next day. Of course you can use up to 4x margin during the day on that "excess margin requirement" at the close of the previous day, but PDT accounts that hold over night are still penalized, as you cannot use any "excess margin requirement" (or cash) raised by closing any position held over night to trade that day.
