The Cuban Missile Crisis was not a market oriented event. The crisis arose suddenly and disappeared suddenly. The market hardly blinked. It was in a steep rise and only briefly paused to catch its breathe in technical consolidation. I was only an observer because I was too chicken to jump in after the summer made the market look just like it does now.
