I'll bite. If you are interested in expressing a simple difference of opinion, why refer to him as "Almighty" Voltaire? Is your post designed to critique or mock?
Voltaire's style has flair. Anyone buying or selling on the recommendation of an anonymous poster on the internet, regardless of who, deserves to lose money. That said, why mock Voltaire for his style and brashness, or for that matter those who enjoy conversing with him?
I've posted on, and lurked over, the Porch for over a year, and haven't seen civil disagreement treated unfairly ever. On the other hand, when someone crashes the party with a chip on the shoulder, bent on mocking Voltaire or others when they are down, others rise to their defense. What on earth is wrong with that?
I'm betting that your taunting post remains, by the way. I'm interested in whether you have a sincere reply.
