That's what Varney has said numerous times - that they ran the same tox tests where CX-717 had a problem (histo changes/artifact), and CX-1739 is clean.

But whether or not, in their zeal for safety, the FDA/Laughren accepts those tests as sufficient or asks for more, is another question.

Laughren allowed Schering to go ahead with Org-26576 in ADHD several years ago, so we're probably OK, but with the FDA you never know. Laughren might conceivably say to Cortex - show me a few more monkey studies just to be sure, in which case I will personally pay him a visit and beat the crap out of him (just kidding, I think) :o)
