IS BP a smart company?

How many multi-billion dollar companies do you own? In fact, how many are even in existence? 1000 or less? Yea, I'm sure they know what they are doing and have strategists analyzing every move.

They had an accident (that could have been prevented) and are being a little stubborn about things but they are not a company of idiots. Obviously they are using corexant because they own interest in that company and want to minimize losses. I.E. Smart business.
