"Rich Templeton, chief executive of Texas Instruments
Inc. (TXN), said technology continues to be driven by communications and entertainment, which poses some great opportunities for the company.
In a CNBC interview Friday, Templeton said this is the year for
high-definition televisions. "We've seen the prices come down very dramatically and we're working with our customers to keep driving that even more aggressively," he said.
Templeton added that even if prices go below $1500, it is still a good thing for the company because it means that HDTV is moving into the masses."
