Lack the first thing I learned to drive was an red international Tractor. One of my first driving jobs on the farm was to hop on that thing with a shovel and drive around the prune orchard and look for leaks in the irrigation levies and repair them. On my first repair I successfuly stopped the leak but then got the tractor stuck in the mud as I was leaving the scene...LOL ... Had to go tell my grandpa what I did and he never got mad, he just said now it's time to teach you how to get a stuck tractor out of the mud.. what a guy every thing was a teaching moment with him.

That passion carried on as I eventually bought a 4x4 truck and would go to mud holes by the lake with other 4x4ers and compete crossing a big mud hole. Got stuck a few times there as well but was able to get myself out on what he taught me.

Thanks for the memory, he just passed early this year.
