Cincy -- right and I would mention that Werner Heisenberg was a respected German physicist in Germany.

My only point in all of this is to cut our WW2 leaders/Generals some slack as they made those terrible decisions in the last months of the war. It was never a sure thing with the race on for the bomb.

If the Germans/Japanese had got it first, I am sure they would all have been executed as war criminals.
