Oil is oil. Oil from larger numbers of torpedoed tankers breaking in halves during war time is still the largest scale instance of oil being spilled into the open ocean due to man-made causes. That's how we can make educated guesses on what short-term or long term effect the oil spill would have after it is carried to open ocean.
If I were to use the Al-Gore school of correlation==causation, then since American love of beaches vacations came immediately after WWII and the war-time oil spills . . . one would only be able to conclude that oil spill is good for the environment and tourism in the intermediate to long run. LOL. Once again, I have no idea what Glen Beck is up to nowadays, so stop the personal attacks.
