The Stewart monologue is pretty funny. The "stewardship" model of big government overseeing big business is obvious not working; in case it's not obvious, most government regulatory agencies are funded and controlled by the industries that they watch nowadays because the bureaucrats' pay-day is when they are hired by the industry after exiting the regulatory agencies. Only the little players feel much regulatory burden as that would help the big oligopolies keep the competition out (just like Zab's recent complaint about financial regulations hurting the little guys).

Not sure what the skit about Glenn Beck has anything to do with our discussion here though. I'm no fan of Glenn Beck at all; haven't watched any of his show for well over a year, and the last time I saw it, over a year ago, was at a car dealership waiting for a car serviced. I don't even remember what he was talking about that day, nor any idea what he talks about nowadays.
