Gulf oil spill
Updated: May 12, 2010 4:50 PM CDT

BOURBON COUNTY, KAN. - On Tuesday told you about a polyurethane substance developed by a Four States man that could help collect the oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, a Fort Scott, Kansas resident says his companies product KC-9000 would be able to separate the oil from the polymer substance.

Freedom Energy International created the solution two years ago and recently had the product trademarked.

"What KC-9000 would be able to do is clean the polymer, salvage the oil and make it marketable again," says Edgar Lundberg, the Sales & Marketing Director for Freedom Energy International. "Also, KC-9000 is a cleaning solution for the oil industry."

Lundberg says KC-9000 was presented to companies involved in the Gulf oil spill relief efforts and says it could be used if the oil is collected.
