What Saddam did wasn't surprising at all -- it's the collective sigh of relief from leaders around the world that's surprising to me. I just thought that behind-the-scenes diplomacy would've done more to shape a skeptical international response to this gesture from the Iraqis. Instead, we seem to be the only real skeptics out there right now.

Oh, well: the game is afoot.

Poor economic data again, but as always excused by Briefing.com as too concentrated and too much of an aberration to be meaningful. Are those folks trying to outdo CNBC or something? <LOL> I'm surprised ORCL's getting whacked this morning; they set the bar so low for this quarter that they should meet easily and probably will be able to guide favorably.
