"The U.S Admin must, I repeat must, go along the unconditional inspection of Iraq path when allowed an opportunity to do so. Why in hell are they are sticking to their war mongering theory? A war free option is available for now and must be exploited to the fullest extant before spending billions of tax payers' money on war, not to forget, lives of innocent people and actual participants."

marginnayan....

I disagree completely and think it is both wrong and uncalled for to use the term "warmongering". We (and the UN) have been down this very same path many times before and every single time it has proven to be a false road, for use only by Saddam for delay and as an attempt to keep us from putting a coalition together. To be able to see that for what it is, is hardly warmongering.

Did Saddam offer to let as many inspectors in as desired and guarantee to allow them to go anywhere, anytime?? Of course not, and even if he did, when it actually came down to it he would balk because he knows what they would eventually find. Did you notice who was named to be in charge of the "inspections" - might as well be conducted by Saddam himself. Even then, Saddam said he was willing to hold "discussions" on the matter - give me a break.

This is no time to be naive. It is time to make Saddam agree unconditionally to the whole ball of wax without any discussions or negotiations. Period. If he were to accept completely a regime of aggressive, intrusive, go anywhere, anytime, with zero delays and absolutely nothing off-limits type of inspections, then we have something to consider and give a try. Nothing less is acceptable.
