The overwhelming opinion here that war still is inevitable makes me think the odds now are against it ever happening. Sure George and the warmongering clique around him want a conflict, but it will be impossible to get UN approval now. And no Saudi bases without UN approval. And let's not forget that many generals and conservatives do not support the Bush war drive. This will give them plenty of additional ammunition.

But doubts will linger for months so I do agree that this bounce probably will not last long.
