STP is surrounded by one of the most prolific oil-producing regions of the world; why would they not expect to have the same type assets?

Wasn't it Einstein who said insanity was continuing to do the same thing and expecting different results? Well, everyone around them has been successful in drilling for oil and gas leading one to believe it would be insanity for them not to expect great results when drilling their own region.
