01/03 Our Optimism Index is looking a little glum
tonight. VXN/VXO are trending up. The dollar
index was up, XGLD was down and XOI tanked.

12/31 Our Optimism Index is finishing the year at
a bullish level but in a bit of downtrend. The
dollar index made back yesterday's loss, XGLD edged
up a little, and XOI was steady.

12/30 McClellan seems to have bottomed (for now). The
dollar index slipped a little, XGLD and XOI were steady.

12/29 The dollar index was steady, XGLD fell almost
$8.00, and XOI was up a little.

12/28 Today had the kind of action I thought we'd have
yesterday. Is it a flash in the pan? Our Optimism
Index is getting enthusiastic. The dollar index was
unchanged, XGLD and XOI were both down a little.

12/27 McClellan weakened. The dollar index fell
through its early-December low. XGLD was up.
