Been away all day, just got back. Sent IR an email this morning and rec'd this reply a few minutes later. One thing about IR, they have always been prompt with their replies.
Their reply,
To my knowledge the company is very busy around now, so i doubt we will see a PR today, but hopefully next week we will get an update to the status of the sale. I don't think the company will be releasing a negative PR, although its the 30th and the transaction isnt yet finalized I am still confident that the company is on track and making steady progress towards the consummation of the deal.

So looks like they had no intentions of PR'ing today or even treating April 30th as a deadline. Hopefully next week will be our week. eom.
