Well, both you and AB corroborate stories... at least they match up... he says that he received reports in 01, 04, and 06 if I remember correctly. I was told by the Brunners that all but slight few had elected to wait for Raleo... rather than sell their woods locally. Still, as far as we know, nobody has received thinning reports in a VERY long time. Something is terribly wrong somewhere...and since they thin Feb/March time.... then prethinning reports should have been out in late 09 sometime... a guess... happy to be proven wrong. Nothing adds up here David.
Btw, a "couple years behind" when speaking about MILLIONS of tree is severely behind. I struggle to get my oil changed in my car sometimes... a meager measely project to say the least. How to play catchup on YEARS AND YEARS of thinnings will be a very very tough task... and worse, since they aren't reporting how, when, if they will catch up, they have lawsuits breathing down their necks. Steve doesn't own a hobby farm anymore... this is serious investment w/ serious money and we've had a pittance for communication.
what does this mean "soon receive an update asking what each tree owner wanted to have done with those trees" .... soon? I've been following TATF for quite a while now... since 2005 , not nearly as long as you, but "soon" is not a word investors like. I'm surprised Steve is still using it.
As far as the thinnings go, nobody has ANY idea what has been thinned! the closest investors come to figure out what has happened with the thinnings is on the "whats new" page having to do with the trees that are for sale, and marked "post thinning" or "pre thinning" .... this is the only indication of whether or not things have gotten done, but it doesn't say WHEN they got done, or even if trees that are not the Brunner's have been thinned....there are simply too many holes in the information for people to NOT want to sue. Its like trying to figure out a jigsaw puzzle for investors... and I REALLY want to believe this is going to pan out... I have my entire retirement with TATF... as I have said many times. I want to believe... but I just don't see it yet.
