I have read in a couple of places this week .. that the left is much more effective against Obama due to the fact that all the teabaggers do is 'name call' .....'make stuff up' .. etc.. whereas the left, as usual, really gets into 'policies' & they know their stuff.. AND another thing the left knows beyond a shadow of doubt that Obama is a centrist NOT liberal .. . btw, I'm not quite as pessimistic as you are ... I see the left getting pretty fired up about voting .. they may be unhappy with Obama but they darn well know just how much more miserable they will be with teabaggers ...

Here is a for instance:

A dem does it again ... (don't worry, it's good news) ... update Hotlist

A Marine to our rescue no less .. !

Remember the two despicable anti-abortion bills introduced by Oklahoma rethugs and supported by wingers ? One of them that required the pregnant women to go through a disgustingly intrusive ultrasound procedure to know the status of fetus before they get their constitutionally provided right to abortion ?

Well, don't worry. The marines in the form of Dem Governor, Brad Henry, have arrived.

Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry vetoed two abortion bills Friday that he said are an unconstitutional attempt by the Legislature to insert government into the private lives and decisions of citizens.

One measure would have required women to undergo an intrusive ultrasound and listen to a detailed description of the fetus before getting abortions.

But we are not done yet.

Lawmakers who supported the vetoed measures promised an override vote in the House and Senate as early as next week.

This is important because the last time he vetoed a similar bill in 2008, the winguts apparently overrode the veto only to be smacked down by a county judge.
....

More Gov Brad Henry

Henry said "it would be unconscionable to subject rape and incest victims to such treatment" because it would victimize a victim a second time.

"State policymakers should never mandate that a citizen be forced to undergo any medical procedure against his or her will, especially when such a procedure could cause physical or mental trauma. To do so amounts to an unconstitutional invasion of privacy," he said.

...........there's more..but there are many reasons to still vote dem, this is just one of them .. they really make a difference. Everyone is donating to Gov. Brad today!

Sure .. we will lose seats - but so will they. They will not achieve control .
