When you have a list of expanded folders on your computer it looks like this:

- Folder1
- Folder2
- Folder3
-- File1
-- File3
-- File3
- Folder4
- Folder5
-- File1
-- File2
-- File3

There is no extra separation when a folder is not open or is empty. Why waste the vertical space here?
