Quite consistent with three-zero-eight-two, the next chapter in the same era, kind of. However, a question remains :

Your projection is based on a set of assumptions, the fondamental one being companies profits, the next one its perceptions by the general US investing public.

And you assume, IMO, that the general US public will not be euphoric again in accepting high PEs like it accepts high personnal debts, both having become kind of natural, incorporated in the lifestyle, because of its inherant faith in a better future, new products, and a dollar demanding world, the American civilisation's tripod.

After reading Opus 2-33-63, I must admit that it is quite strange for me to envision a Nasdaq 2004 or more at today's value. It's like if what we all do (outside of investing) lost significance beyond the food we'd eat.
Sort of a Brave Old World.
