I agree - this is a field that is very hard to quantify the risks in. JPM has large exposure to everything that is going wrong in the economy and the world, and I think their dividend, like that of FBF, is at risk. Folks also keep forgetting that these same banks also have huge potential litigation risks from the predatory legal crowd that will surely be filing an endless string of suits against them for ENE, WCOM, and all the rest.

Certainly JPM, BAC, and C are all too large for the Fed to let them completely fail, but that does not mean that the shareholders will not get hurt, and perhaps hurt badly.
