This may sound callous but I hope he either recovers fully or passes on. My mother in law stroked out but did neither, and spent 10 years trapped with the intellect and body control of a 2 year old. I wouldn't wish that kind of life on my worst enemy. Better to die than live like that. My prayers to your uncle.
