As the article below points out, one of the biggest problem for MON appears to be competition from chinese companies that are apparently flooding the market with cheaper seeds. While American farmers may be able to afford MON's seeds it appears that the farmers in developing countries can't or are able to achieve higher profits by using cheaper seeds.
