I would bet that the majority of the top five percent that pay about fifty percent of all taxes are Republicans. And I would also bet that the vast majority of the bottom 50% that pay only five percent of the taxes are Democrats.

Socialism became alive and well in the USA, once the Democrats realized they could buy votes with tax dollars.
