Hey..it's done. I seriously doubt there won't be more financial problems within the next year, but perhaps they'll survive to be a mere shell of their former self.

Maybe so, but either way if it saved a bad economy from getting worse, then some would argue that it was the right thing to do. If GM can't make it now, then someone else will take their place, and the damage it will do in a better economy won't be crippling.
