We have come a long way in the current validity of a company whose pps is listed on the Pink Sheet--
Back in the "stone age" (50's) when I started we had a list of OTC stocks tacked to the bulletin board---One list was on the white sheets and the other was on the pink sheets===
White sheet stocks were more active ---had more information available and were listed in the Standard and Poors,,Dun and Bradstreet,, better Business Bureau--- etc
Those on the Pink colored sheets were not as active, sometime traded only once a month---or even yearly---and it was difficult to get verifiable information---and the pps was quite often different in other regions ---and the pps could change drastically ,, good or bad,, before the info could be circulated.
Electronic quotes , as in NASDAQ, came in the 70's and changed all that--today we can get enough information on a company that is listed for quotes on the Pink Sheets to make intelligent decisions--companies like KATX,
Pink sheet listing for a company now offers a national mkt and a reliable quotation system, and a less expensive method of birthing a company and its initial growth----and sometimes an investor can find the "diamond in the ruff" a little more easily---- boards like this have gotten established by finding these "hidden gems"..
People who denigrate a company just b/c it is listed on the Pink Sheets today are still living in the 1940s-50s or perhaps have an insidious agenda--
anyway,, just my 2 cents
