I'm not going to get into a big discussion on this off-topic matter, but nobody credible that I know of claimed that the sea level "has since lowered".  I certainly don't.  The photograph was taken at low tide.*  The common claim is that sea level hasn't changed much.  Pretty simple.  The alternative, I suppose, is that the rocks have risen along with the ocean waters.
