I never said conspiracy theory, just smart politics on his part.........He seems to give to the GOP in his right hand, and then takes it way with his left. This tactic has been going on for ever, he is just trying to push throught his own agenda. The EPA and envionmental groups will slow this offshore drilling down, and stop it period, it will never happen. Right now there is a multi year waiting list (all the paper work for compliance) to drill offshore, even in the areas that are approved to drill in now.

I'm an independent, so I do not play in to the politics of the left or right, just try and call it as I see it.
