Great news from within the industry:
I just got a report back from a good friend of mine who is senior radiologist at a highly regarded institute in the DC Metro Area. He has been taking a look at the Imaging3 literature for me and is very excited about the device. He interviewed the leading interventionalist at his practice, and that physician said that if the DViS can do what it advertises it would reshape the entire clinical landscape. His practice is looking into contacting Imaging3 to get an early placement after FDA Approval.
He also offered some interesting feedback regarding the Radiologist Review. He was not surprise at all to hear about the amount of time it was taking to gather all of the necessary images from the predicate devices. He says that there is lot that goes into making sure the variables are all controlled to have a meaningful comparison. For example, it would be useless for comparison purposes to have an image of my left hand from one device and somebody else's left hand from another device. The idea is to eliminate all of the variables so that the only remaining issue is image quality. One hand may have more soft tissue that the photons need to penetrate, one may have a disease the other doesn't.
He also informed me, from experience, that once all of the images are gathered, the review itself could take is little as 15 minutes, and to write the report (to the extent it's not already mostly written), less than a day.
Those in the know, know.
