Steph, you are so right, and I'm glad we both know where we stand morally. The pundits always lead with their bible when it's in their best interests, and then hide it when it's not.
I don't want to say that it applies to all Republicans, but when you hear about one in the news who has a loud mouth, that's usually the case.
Sort of like the way they were going on in the debates leading up to the House vote last night. They were shouting down Stupak and yelling "Baby Killer" over what I can only figure sounds like a corner-case loophole, and Stupak defended himself brilliantly by saying the bill is about SAVING lives, including those who are OUTSIDE of the womb. The hypocrites on the other side of the aisle have yet to recognize the lives of the mother, or the brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, or future sons and daughters. Better to save 1 or 2 abortions and send millions of others to die, I guess....
But a better explanation would be that the soulless Congressmen standing up to pontificate were thinking more about their political futures and future campaign contributions than about any aborted babies. 100% of Republicans stood on a platform of politics, rather than helping the American people. That has to say something.
