F6, you're correct, but I'm just trying to point out that the Republican base is energized, and quite willing to go out and vote in November. They will believe the same lies they are told today, and the Republicans will aim to get them out in record numbers.
To compete with this, Democrats should try to get their own base out to vote. It all comes down to turn-out. Sure, the truth lifts the spirits of the Democrats, and hopefully brings along the Independents, but the conservatives are utterly deaf to the truth.
The best case scenario would be a number of emerging Tea Party candidates to split the conservative vote, but I wouldn't bank on that. If I were running for re-election, I would start urging the Democrats to be active and convince their friends for another historic vote. I would have a 50-state strategy and say that we can even INCREASE our Democrats in Congress, if we are bold enough to get the votes out.
The only way for the Republicans to win seats is if Democrats stay home, or if they assume that the Congressional election is somehow less important than the Presidential election. Democrats need to get the word out now that this election is important and YES WE CAN WIN.
