what exactly does this mean?

Item 7.01

Regulation FD Disclosure

On February 13, 2010, our board of directors approved a forward split, payable by way of the declaration of a share dividend on the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of our company, par value $0.001, to be paid by the issuance of 8.2 shares for each issued and outstanding share held by stockholders of record of our company as of February 25, 2010.

Does this mean that if you had 1000 shares before the split, you would have 8,200 after the split OR does it mean that if you have 1000 shares pre split, you get an additional 8,200 for a total of 9,200 shares. A dividend ain't the same as a split so that if they issued a dividend of 8.2 for every share, you would think the latter...no?
