I'm glad they have nominated Leslie Blair. At least he has some oil and gas experience but he is on the financial side, not on the technical side. Getting some oil and gas experience in an oil and gas company is kind of important even if you are not an operator. All we have now is a petroleum engineer as the one and only technical person either on the BOD or on staff. And Gralla is actually only part-time. So who is going to evaluate these marginal properties? Who evaluated which blocks to chose in the EEZ? Who is going to evaluate how much our interest in the JDZ is worth? And don't tell me EO. He might be a good businessman and negotiator but he has no clue how to evaluate complex geological formations and how to place a value on them. I keep hearing, oh they'll just hire consultants for that. Well who are these consultants and how come we never hear about them?
So to answer your question I think we need oil and gas technical experience both on the BOD and within the company. A geologist/geophysicist is a must. Either you're going to be an ongoing company or you're not. Either way we need someone who knows what the hell is going on and someone who can hold their own and protect our interests on technical matters.
