I agree. However, if Chase decides to close a number of their purchased bank branches, that they purchased from WAMU, this could be attractive to other banks, not just Barclays, as far as operating a network of retail banking branches. I fail to see how this would benefit WAMUQ though. The purchase would be to Chase and not WAMU to my way of thinking..........
Maybe they have their sights on the "settlement" monies, perhaps? Who knows - interesting world we live in!!!!!!
